I served faithfully as Children's Sunday school teacher, Choir member, Intercessory Prayer team and outreach ministries. Honored to serve years beside my childhood friend and wife Yolanda, as Intercessors and Children's Ministry Leaders. I have served 20 years and am retired US Air Force.

I have devoted my time and energy to serving the LORD and his people. Currently, I am in training with the Portsmouth Fire Department. I am living in Norfolk, Virginia.
A transplant from Southern California, moving to North Las Vegas in 2004 to care for her parents. Although currently retired her service to the community has been with The Salvation Army, Child Haven, food banks, and prison ministries. Sis. Cherry accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was baptized at nine years old. Although she wore many hats along her Christian journey, teaching is her gift. Her gift of teaching was developed through church training classes and formal college courses as a graduate of CalState Dominguez Hills. Over 20 years ago Sis. Cherry accepted her calling to be an encourager and teach younger Christian women.

I love teaching the young adults to know God for themselves not because someone in their family told them to ,but because they have their own understanding of who God is to them and allowing them safe space to ask questions that they would be too afraid to ask an older adult or family member.
Originally from the Detroit, Michigan area. She moved to Las Vegas in 2007. She has three adult daughters and five beautiful grandchildren. She has served in various jobs within the church and volunteer jobs outside of the church. She’s always willing to help where needed. Sis. LaKeisha has a background in the Greeter’s Ministry and is currently working with the Ushers and singing in the Choir. Sis. LaKeisha enjoys studying God’s Word, traveling, and she's a big fan of Basketball.
